Price and Time squaring is the most used phrase when we talk about W. D. Gann. Gann had a unique method of equating price and time and whenever in any given situation if price = time, where price = P x current vibration and time = T (days, weeks or months), it is considered as Price is Square with time.

William Delbert Gann (June 6, 1878 – June 18, 1955) or WD Gann, was a finance trader who developed the technical analysis methods like the Gann angles and the Master Charts, where the latter is a collective name for his various tools like the Spiral Chart (also called the Square of Nine), the Hexagon Chart, and the Circle of 360. Gann market forecasting methods are purportedly based on geometry, astronomy and astrology, and ancient mathematics. Opinions are sharply divided on the value and relevance of his work. Gann authored a number of books and courses on shares and commodities trading.

The Master Time Factor (MTF) is a cycle method developed by W.D. Gann. The MTF is used to forecast the markets by finding the historical cycle that is repeating in the markets at the current time. The most famous use of the MTF was W.D. Gann’s annual forecasts. W.D. Gann had a forecasting and advisory service from which he would sell an annual market forecast which would cover the next 9 to 12 months. W.D. Gann did not intend the annual forecasts to be a standalone product; they were supplemented by monthly updates and there was the option of a weekly update provided by telegraph service.
